1. Who this policy belongs to

This policy explains how ChalSawari ("ChalSawari", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through https://chalsawari.com and through bookings made by phone or WhatsApp. By using the service you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to send a vehicle to you and to complete the ride.

• From riders: name, mobile number, pickup and drop-off location, vehicle type, ride time, and any note you add to the booking.
• From drivers and partners: name, mobile number, CNIC number, driving licence number, vehicle registration and vehicle details.
• Automatically: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the date and time of the visit. This is standard web server and analytics data.
• We do not collect card numbers or bank details, because fares are paid in cash to the driver.

3. How we use it

• To assign a driver and send them your pickup details.
• To confirm the booking to you by SMS, WhatsApp or a call.
• To calculate the fare and keep a record of the trip.
• To handle complaints, disputes and lost items.
• To verify that a driver is who they claim to be, before they carry passengers.
• To improve the service and understand which areas need more vehicles.

4. What we share, and what we never share

Your name, mobile number and pickup location are shared with the driver assigned to your booking, because they cannot reach you otherwise. Drivers are told this information is for that ride only.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone. We do not share it with advertisers.

We may disclose information where the law of Pakistan requires it — for example, on a written order from a court, the police or a government authority such as the FBR.

5. Location

If you allow it, your browser may share your location so we can fill in your pickup point. You can refuse, and the service still works — you can type or choose your area instead. We do not track your location in the background and we do not track you after the ride ends.

6. Cookies

The website uses a small number of cookies for basic functions: keeping your session, remembering your last booking form entries, and protecting forms against abuse. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then behave oddly.

7. How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and dispute purposes — normally six years, as required by Pakistani tax law. Driver verification documents are kept while the driver is registered with us and for one year after they leave.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to booking and driver records is limited to authorised staff through a password-protected admin panel. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold and we will inform affected users if a breach occurs.

9. Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. You can also ask us to stop sending you promotional messages. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days.

10. Children

The service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. A minor should book only through a parent or guardian.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the service grows. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
